Recognising Collaboration
The PRS Green Label
Awarding
the return
In our network, polymer producers - our customers - use PRS pallets to transport their products to their customers: converters and distributors. Once the polymers are delivered, these pallets remain in the network. Thanks to the collaboration between polymer producers, converters, and distributors in reporting, handling, and returning these pallets, we are able to collect them and make them available for reuse. This continuous loop is what makes our circular pooling system work.
To recognise and encourage this collaboration, we introduced the PRS Green Label. The PRS Green Label is a yearly recognition awarded to converters and distributors who actively support the collection and reuse of PRS pallets. Partners who achieve a return rate of at least 65% qualify for the label. This return rate reflects how many pallets are successfully returned to the PRS system, making them available for reuse instead of going to waste.
With the PRS Green Label, we aim to increase awareness around pallet returns and highlight the importance of each partner’s contribution. Returning pallets is a simple action, but it has a significant impact on the overall sustainability of the supply chain. The more pallets we can collect and reuse, the fewer new resources are needed.
In 2025, more than 5,000 partners in our European-wide collection network received the PRS Green Label. Thanks to this joint effort, we saved approximately 510,000 trees in one year. This is a result we are proud of, and one that clearly shows what we can achieve together.
To make this impact more visible, we introduced Return Stars in 2025. Partners receive one, two, or three stars based on the number of trees saved through their contribution. This gives additional insight into the environmental impact of their efforts and adds an extra layer of recognition.
Each PRS Green Label recipient receives a personalised digital certificate and access to a dedicated webpage with their individual results, including return rate, number of returned pallets, and environmental impact. The certificate can easily be shared on websites or social media, allowing partners to show their commitment to a more sustainable supply chain.
The PRS Green Label is not only a recognition of past performance, but also a way to keep improving together. By making results visible and measurable, we encourage partners to stay engaged and continue increasing return rates year after year.
At PRS Pooling, we believe that a circular supply chain is only possible through strong collaboration. The PRS Green Label helps us to highlight this shared responsibility and to thank all partners who make it possible.
PRS Pooling manages a circular pallet pooling system for the European polymer industry. By reusing and sharing pallets across the supply chain, we contribute to a more sustainable and resource-efficient way of working. But we cannot do this alone. The success of our circular model depends on the active cooperation of our partners.
